Chicago, IL – January 22, 2021 – As many children and families increasingly require comprehensive government services, Organizational Development Resource Group (ODRG), LLC has partnered with the Department of Health and Human Service to support the administration of discretionary grants for underserved communities in the Midwest.

As a part of this initiative, ODRG supports the Office of Human Services (OHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) in the administration of $1.27 billion in grants to more than 290 Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin from the Region V Office in Chicago, IL.

Head Start services include early childhood learning and development, health, and family well-being, and preparing children for school and life. ACF programs are designed to empower families, refugees, and migrants to increase their economic independence and productivity, and encourage strong, healthy, and supportive communities in which they serve.

ODRG conducts a full range of program administration and grants management for OHS. This work includes significant communication with grantees on their grant applications and awarded grant activities; reviewing grant applications for fiscal and program compliance; and award monitoring, auditing, and closeout. ODRG also updates Standard Operating Procedures to ensure programs comply with quality assurance standards set forth by the Office of Head Start.

“Our partnership with OHS is a testament to our core mission to provide high-quality solutions and measurable results,” said Sophia Harris, ODRG CEO. “It is especially meaningful for our company to provide such a diverse range of services for the populations most in need, considering the current climate we are in.”
